The D'oh-cial Network is the eleventh episode of the twenty-third season of the animated comedy series The Simpsons. It is slated to airing in the United States on January 15, 2012 on Fox.[1]
Lisa creates her own social networking service, SpringFace, and subsequently makes everyone addicted to the internet. Meanwhile, Patty and Selma challenge the Winklevoss twins at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The episode was written by J. Stewart Burns.[1] In July 2011, Entertainment Weekly announced that Armie Hammer will make a guest appearance on the show, reprising his role as the Winklevoss twins.[2][3] Hammer previously attained the role in the American drama film The Social Network (2010).[4] Showrunner Al Jean stated, "We were like, 'Wait, he played them, that's who people think they are, we should just get him.' It's not like they’re going to sue us."[4] Hammer met with the producers of the series in May 2011, shortly after being cast in The Lone Ranger (2013).[4]
